With a history spanning more than 700 years, the Nice Carnival stands as one of the oldest and most prestigious carnivals in the world. Known for its spectacular parades, elaborate floats, and signature floral battles along the French Riviera, this celebration is a stage where only the most distinctive artistic expressions from around the globe are showcased.

In 2026, Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) proudly became part of this historic tradition. Remarkably, while Nice Carnival carries over seven centuries of legacy, JFC at just 24 years old, has already earned the opportunity to present its work on this iconic international platform. A testament to how powerful creativity and consistency can transcend time.

🌸 Indonesia in Full Bloom

For Nice, JFC presented costumes themed around the rich flora of Indonesia. The collection featured breathtaking interpretations of orchids, sunflowers, and many other floral inspirations, transformed into dramatic carnival silhouettes.

Each costume was more than fashion. It was a story of Indonesia’s tropical beauty, biodiversity, and artistic imagination, brought to life through movement, structure, and color. The response from the local audience was truly unforgettable.

A Warm Welcome from Nice

As the JFC team walked through the parade route, crowds immediately turned their attention to the costumes. Cameras were raised, smiles spread across the streets, and many visitors came closer to admire the details.

The orchid costumes captivated with elegance and grace, while the sunflower-inspired pieces radiated warmth and joy. The people of Nice were fascinated by how Indonesia’s natural beauty could be transformed into such bold and spectacular creations.

More than just a performance, this moment became a cultural exchange through visual storytelling. Through flowers, JFC introduced the world to Indonesia in a way that felt universal: beautiful, vibrant, and full of life.

In Nice, Indonesia didn’t just join the parade. Indonesia bloomed.
