The Chingay Parade Singapore once again became a vibrant meeting point for cultures across Asia, where creativity, tradition, and collaboration came together on one grand stage. From 24 February to 3 March 2026, Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) proudly returned, not only to perform, but to connect.

This marked JFC’s third participation since its debut in 2015, continuing its journey of bringing Indonesian culture into an increasingly interconnected regional spotlight.

🎭 Indonesia’s Heritage in Motion

At Chingay 2026, JFC once again translated Indonesia’s cultural richness into bold carnival expressions. Costumes inspired by Wayang, Kujang, Betawi, Nias, and other cultural elements transformed the stage into a moving gallery of heritage.

Each piece was designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. A celebration of identity expressed through structure, color, and movement, carrying Indonesia’s narrative across borders.

🤝 More Than a Parade: Building ASEAN Friendship

Beyond the performances, Chingay became a space where connections were built. JFC participants shared moments, stories, and creative energy with fellow performers from across ASEAN, including representatives from Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, and others.

These interactions went beyond formal exchanges. They created genuine friendships, mutual appreciation, and a deeper understanding of each country’s cultural identity. In between rehearsals, backstage moments, and street performances, what formed was not just collaboration, but connection.

In a region as diverse as Southeast Asia, moments like these are where cultural diplomacy truly happens, naturally and authentically.

🌏  A Shared Stage, A Shared Future

For JFC, participating in Chingay is no longer just about showcasing Indonesia. It is about being part of a larger ASEAN narrative, where cultures do not stand alone, but grow stronger together.

These newly built relationships open doors for future collaborations, cross-country creative projects, and wider regional exposure. More importantly, they position JFC not only as a performer, but as a cultural bridge within Asia.

Chingay 2026 leaves JFC with more than applause. It strengthens JFC’s role as a connector of cultures, expands its international network, and reinforces its mission to bring Indonesian heritage onto the global stage in a more collaborative and meaningful way.

The true power of culture is not only in how it is presented, but in how it brings people together.
